Contest rules

WWI rules

WWI rules

- We preliminary will provide all contestants with WWI streamer (you don't have to cut and roll it yourself)

WWII rules

WWII rules and WWII rules additional documents

We will do a thorough check-in of all models. We will check that models are within rules so please make sure your model is not close to any limitation.

We will also run RPM-checks before flights (all models) and after flights (pin-pointed models, main judge decision). We will not allow much extra time if you have troubles getting down to RPM-limit so have engines in order. We will not delay flights because of RPM-checks so if your engine is hard to get down to RPM limits you may loose flight time points as well.

Result counting

At this contest the following system of result counting will apply

WWI: The 6 pilots with the most points after qualifying rounds qualify for the final. The pilot with the most points after the final is the winner.

WWII: The 21 pilots with the most points will qualify to semi-finals (3). The 7 pilots with the most points after the semi-finals will qualify for the final. The pilot with the most points after the final is the winner.

WWII .15: The 7 pilots with the most points from flights flown with a .15 model qualify for the WWII .15 final. The pilot with the most points from flights flown with a .15 model after the WWII .15 final is the winner.

WWII Youth: The pilot below 18 years who has the most points after the WWII finals have been flown, is the winner (no extra Youth-final is flown).

WWI & WWII team competition: The points of the 3 best pilots from each country is summed to a total. The team/country with the most point is the winner. Note: No mixed teams allowed, one team per country only (meaning only members of one country, in one team, etc.).

Green, yellow and red -cards

At this contest we will apply three differrent colour cards to promote good sportsmanship and safe flying. Each time a card is raised onto a pilot, the card colour is noted into the pilot score-board.

Green card is raised by the main judge when a pilot shows good sportsmanship, for instance helps other pilots (on the ground) or any other way shows good sportsmanship, for instance not showing up as a pilot judge when supposed to.

Yellow card is raised by the main judge if a pilot tries to persuade the pilot judge to give the pilot a cut that is not obvious or in other ways does not show a good sportsmanship, for instance does not show up being a pilot judge when supposed to.

The red card is raised instead of raising the yellow card a third time for a pilot during the contest. If the red card is raised the pilot will be ordered to land immediately if the model is still in the air and a vote will be made by all participants (of this contest class) if the pilot shall be disqualified from the contest.
